Staying at Ballinalacken Castle Country House was a delight. The spacious deluxe queen room offered stunning views of the surrounding countryside and Cliffs of Moher. The best part? The breakfast spread was incredible, featuring both hot and cold options, truly setting the tone for the day. The staff, especially Declan, were wonderfully accommodating, making sure I felt at home after a cycling mishap. The onsite castle tour revealed captivating history and breathtaking vistas that you won’t find anywhere else in Ireland. However, my group faced a few hiccups. Some dinner steaks were over-cooked, and the decor felt a bit dated. While the beautiful grounds were well-maintained, reaching our room from the check-in desk involved quite a walk, which could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. Despite these minor inconveniences, I would definitely recommend this charming hotel for its unique ambiance and excellent service.

The evening castle tour offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of the place, with stunning views from the top. The fully equipped common room features games like ping pong, adding a nice touch to downtime.
The hotel has numerous stairs without any elevators, which can be a hassle, especially for those with heavy luggage. The restaurant’s closure on Mondays left some arriving guests without dining options unless they traveled to town. Additionally, some rooms might feel a bit dated in their decor, which contrasts with the otherwise beautiful surroundings.

Couples not to miss this gem
First off, the views from our room were just indescribable, we could see the Cliffs of Moher from the window. Addictive, literally sat there just soaking it all in, like that was the best part of my life! Also the food was exceptional, never left feeling hungry and the beds were unbelievably comfy.
Sure, it wasn’t inexpensive but considering the experience, you could say it’s acceptable.

Guests can relax in the charming common rooms or take a peaceful stroll through the lovely grounds. While I enjoyed my stay, it was a bit of a trek to lug my bags up the stairs to my room, but it didn't ruin the experience! 😊
